Attorney Fees
⚫️Legal Consultation
Hourly Rate: Generally 30,000 JPY to 120,000 JPY per hour (tax included).
Fees may be adjusted upon consultation based on the nature and complexity of the case.
⚫️Civil Litigation
The following rates apply to the Economic Interest (amount in dispute).
Amount of Economic Interest Retainer Fee (Initial Fee) Contingency Fee (Success Fee)
Up to 3 million JPY 10% 20%
3M to 30 million JPY 8% + 120,000 JPY 15% + 250,000 JPY
30M to 300 million JPY 5% + 1 million JPY 8% + 2 million JPY
Over 300 million JPY 4% + 5 million JPY 7% + 10 million JPY
All fees include tax.
Fees may be adjusted upon consultation based on the nature and complexity of the case.
⚫️Criminal Defense
Retainer Fee (Initial Fee):
Pre-indictment: 450,000 JPY – 5,000,000 JPY
Post-indictment: 450,000 JPY – 5,000,000 JPY
Contingency Fee (Success Fee):
500,000 JPY – 8,000,000 JPY (depending on the final disposition or judgment).
All fees include tax.

⚫️Legal Retainer ＆ Other Legal Services
Hourly Rate (Time Charge):
Generally 30,000 JPY to 120,000 JPY per hour (tax included).

Additional Expenses Court filing fees (revenue stamps) are to be borne by the client.
Actual expenses, such as travel costs for the attorney, may be billed separately.
